Daily goals for Tuesday 9-21-10

Inspired by this post by blogger extraordinaire Annie Sorensen, I will now attempt to do better at this whole goal setting thing. I was doing a decent enough job while I was tracking my attempt to get back to shape, but I let a silly inconvenience derail me. I am going to do my best not to let that happen again. So without ado…here are my 5 goals for tomorrow:

  1. Get up when my alarm clock goes off and run - See, I have set my alarm these past 3 days and have failed to get up. That must change tomorrow.
  2. Make at least two sales calls/visits - I am ramping up my attempts to sell add space on the Valley Sports Network site because it is rivalry week for Tokay and I am anticipating a lot more eyes on the page. Want to get some income from this game and the rest of the season. Have to sell a few to do it, but I figure two is a good start for tomorrow.
  3. Continue work on the new site - I am going to be revamping the VSN site and might unveil the new design on Friday night…not sure yet.
  4. Drink more water - As a result of my failure to work out for the last week, my water intake has decreased too much and I am starting to feel the effects. I can’t be my best if I do not feel right, so water is essential.
  5. Get to be before midnight - When I get overly stressed my mind and body enter into a revolt stage where my mind will begin to go overboard with worry and anxiety and my body will follow its lead and not want to fall asleep. This usually ends up with me lying awake, poking around the Internet, hoping that the answers to my problems will fall from cyberspace. So far it hasn’t, which means I am wasting hours of rest that my mind and body need to function better.

So there they are, my five main goals for the day. They may sound trivial, but for someone who has never really been good at the whole, writing and keeping goals thing, it is a start.
